| Does
it seem like your projects get to 90% complete and stay there the rest of
your life?
This course focuses on one of the nine
knowledge areas of project management, Scope Management. Scope
Management is the foundation of the planning process on which all
the other project planning processes rely. In Scope
Management, the project is defined by not only what the project is
suppose to
accomplish but also by what it is not suppose to accomplish (what
is out of scope).
In order for the scope of the project
to be properly defined it is necessary to interface with the key
stakeholders of the project. By no means is the project scope
to be developed "in a vacuum." Different techniques
from one-on-one interviews to team workshops should be utilized.
This course is designed
to give you a working knowledge of Scope Management. You
will be able to use these concepts the very next day on your projects
thus giving you the edge over your competition.
This course follows the best
practices for Project Scope Management as outlined in the Guide to
the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide®)
from the Project Management Institute (PMI®)
This Scope Management for Projects workshop is interactive. It includes small
group
exercises, large group discussions, and instructor explanations.
